Login Problems

First of all I would like to start of with a introduction, I'm Vic and of course I'm new to this community. So hello everyone.
Now on to the problem, I have downloaded, installed , and of course patched without stopping the patcher the Rose client off the Solarose website. Afterwards I have installed Solarose, everything works fine until I Try to log in. I put down my information and once I press the Green Check Mark, my client crashes. My computer is running on vista, and I have heard about the problems with vista, but it also crashes when I Apply Service pack 2. Also this is the second time I Redownloaded and reinstalled, so I'm pretty sure I'm not missing any files. If you know a way to fix this, Please post below, and thanks for you time.

Hello Vic. Just wondering, what version client are you using? If I am not wrong, the latest is v230. I am not sure if it is compatabile yet so I would have to check it out and post back.

Meanwhile, try this steps:
1. Go to your ROSE folder and find a file called sevenhearts.ini. Open it up using notepad and look for a line called FULLSCREEN = . Change the number to 0 if its not already 0.
2. Right click your Trose.exe and select properties. Check the Compatability mode for Windows XP SP2 and the Run as administrator boxes. Some people may also be required to check the Disable Visual Themes and/or Disable Desktop Compsition boxes. Its kinda of a gamble with these 2 boxes.
3. When you try to login, do not press enter. Instead click and hold the tick for 3-5s and then release. Do the same for the server select. Do note that this may be solved with the step above (I had this problem with 228, but solved it when i ticked all 4 boxes mentioned above, where i could make do without the Disable Desktop Composition for v226, not sure about the Visual Themes 1 though cause I had checked it since I started playing this server)

Thanks for the post, It was having problems with my res since my monitors requires 1920X1200 and also I forgot to change the properties on Trose.exe to Service pack 2. Thanks for the info.
